The Grigoryan blacksmith family has been forging iron and making wine from the local Areni grape for almost two centuries. Now we set the table by the fire — for you.
The story began in 1828, when the family of blacksmith Grigor settled in the village of Aghavnadzor. "Darbin" means "blacksmith" in Armenian. Generation after generation, the Grigoryans — a family sworn to fire — passed down the secrets of the bold hammer, the humble steel, and the vineyards growing on their ancestral land.
When the sun sank wearily behind the old mountains, the masters set down their hammers and drew strength from a cup of wine, to create with the light again in the morning. Don't rush this wine — listen to it. Fill your cup, close your eyes, and the myths will flow from wine-red lips on their own.
Today the forge opens its doors: sit at our table, drink from our barrels, hear the stories of the family by the living fire.

Once a year: grape picking on the ancestral land, foot pressing, lunch with the winemakers.

Areni is an endemic grape of the Armenian Highlands. People made wine from it five thousand years ago — the world's oldest known winery was found in a cave half an hour from our vineyards. The finest harvest ripens in Aghavnadzor, and Darbin is born only from selected clusters of the ancestral land.
At the table we pour from the barrel — generously and without counting. And you take a bottle home: the same land, the same grape, the same blacksmith's character.
Dry red from the gardens of Aghavnadzor. Current vintage.
White from the "golden berry" — Armenia's oldest white grape.
A bottle of Areni + a hand-forged corkscrew in a craft box.
Numbered bottling from the best barrel. Venue and club members only.
Not staged — just our evenings, shot on film.

This is not a gallery — just three frames to get you started. The whole life of the forge: evenings, photoshoots, feasts and backstage — lives on Instagram.
